Serving our Suffolk community

Loyal audience live broadcast

Aware that some of our past and future audience are not able to attend concerts in person, we formulated a way to make them a part of our live concerts by streaming performances directly to their homes in real time via the internet.

We initiated this project in February 2020, streaming to care homes and private residences and we plan to develop this into a permanent feature - a way to attend our concerts in the comfort of your own armchair.

Schools concert programme

Kay Dawson, PO’s principal horn, runs two live interactive educational experiences for school- age students. A collaboration between Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall and PO, and presented at the AJH, the children learn about the orchestra and composition and then take part in a live concert with PO’s musicians.

The team also present a session in schools for Special Education Needs, Primary and Secondary Schools pupils. This is an experience in pitch, rhythm, improvisation and music history, to inspire beginners to A-level and aims to place music back in the school day.
